Father's day

This is a day and a season when I can honor the men in my life that have shared their fatherly wisdom with me. My own father taught me the importance of working hard, enjoying nature and being true to your faith. Of the living, First is my Grandfather. His jokes, his love and his support shine through. Second, is Uncle Terry who told me once "There's just a heartbeat between you and Tiffany (his daughter)". John Howard who looked out for me while I was in Haiti. Zaak who inspires me to be a good parent for the future. And of course Gabriel who exhibits patience, humor and tenderness that I would like my children to experience.

I am blessed to have such wonderful fathers in my life

Being a father of 4 I don't know if they would honour me, but I do know they love me. And I tell them that I love them everyday.

Having a father that is 78 I am still fortunate that I have him around to talk to and visit with. There are many less fortunate than me.

What a sweet tribute to our Dad and the "Dad" figures in your life April. I am happy to say Fathers Day is a much happier occasion for me now that Zaak is a father. I look forward to you, Lana and Jess celebrating Fathers Day with your husbands when you all have kid(s) of your own:)
