I have discovered 3 novels about a girl growing up in Smithers. They are quite recent and a sitcom about her has just begun! Ha, it's so funny hearing about a small town and about the places I know! Check out the website for the show:

I read one of the Miss Smithers books and it was quite good - very cute, and funny to read about the details of my own little hometown! We were at Kispiox last year with a tiny little Blaise, it was fun. Saw tons of the cousins, heard great music, got a free meal for being a breast-feeding Mom from your friend Erica who changed her name to something else...didn't get to see any skinny-dippers though because it was too cold out:)

The kids have been watching Alice I Think. They like it. I haven't seen it yet.
