Are you out there

First of all, I'd like to welcome myself back to Quebec and soon back to my regularly scheduled life... two weeks in BC and then 10 days with Amber, Blaise and Zaak was a whirlwind! Tommorow I have my first class at 10:15 am; a history class, and all though I enjoy learning, the fact that summer is over is quite disappointing. Summer is so evasive! So, part of my grieving process include the following stages with the feeling and the corresponding action:
1. wallowing in self pity= watching movies and moping
2,.feeling motivated to do somehing= big clean up and streaking my hair
3. serenity and acceptance= making cider and watching Lord of the Rings
At least it's raining, so it feels like it's time to go back to class. I've been a student for 6 years in Quebec... 6 falls of going back to school and since I'm in education I'll be going 'back to school' for a long time. It's a bit nostalgic, fall, changes in the way I spend time, the sweaters and scarves, the feeling. During my big clean up (stage 2) I found some of Blaises' bath toys and started to cry... I miss him already! What a great kid. I hope I have one that cute and fun one day.

Yes, that week was a whirlwind. I'm trying to piece it together myself. Thanks for the great times!

I just realized this morning as I watched the news that I'm not going back to school this fall - second in a row in a long time! Feels good.
