Condolences to Dawson
Today a shooting took place at Dawson College, down town Montreal. I went there 4 years ago for one semester and Gabriel got his degree from Dawson a year ago... I'm shocked and dismayed at this violent occurence. The shooter was brought down by police, one 18 year old girl died and 20 were injured, some quite seriously.

It is a tragedy for sure. I've been reading about this from other bloggers too. The consensus is for the hope that there isn't some knee-jerk reaction to "fix" the problem. The Gun Registry didn't stop this crime. I am not sure that you can stop all random acts of violence. It would be nice, but you can't tell when someone is going to do something like this if he/she doesn't let it be known.
My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims.
