This semester

For the first time in a long time I'm taking luxury courses.. meaning they aren't core courses for my program. I feel lucky to be taking them! I'm taking:
-a history course on Latin America
-A canadian literature
-a French class
For the first time ever, I've thought about working on a Master's part time while I work. I wasn't ever interested before, but it's looking more appealing as time goes on. Suggestions? Advice? Pass them on!

April, I told you years ago: "Quit school. Get married. Have some kids." So why should I offer any advice now?

Oh well, I can't resist. I think you should go for it - the Masters. Since you're not getting married anytimes soon. It would be good to draw an income soon though.

By the way, electives were my favorite classes because I got to choose them - among them a Canadian Lit class surveying books by Canucks after WWI. Fabulous!

I used to think I'd like to do a masters but now if I go back for anythingI think it would be midwifery, which scares me a little beacause I know it would be really hard. Funny how I was so sure at 18 that I wanted to teach for the rest of my life:)
And I too enjoyed electives, one was a summer course "Play Analysis" - very fun. Also I took a Can Lit at the U of A and scored my one and only 9 (the higheste mark you can get) in the class.

Ha ha, nice one Zaak. Even though I realized that I need another year after this one for my Bachelor's... at least I could work towards a Masters part time and work.

Get a job!! :-)

Kidding!! Do what you want to do now as you may not get the opportunity later in life.

I went back to school at 29. Wish I would have done it a lot earlier. The only thing I find amusing about that is that I am not doing what I went back to school to take. I started out doing drafting and learned instrumentation on the fly and became and Instrumentation Technologist. I now am a Quality Auditor and soon to become the Quality Coordinator for the Automation department at the engineering firm I work at. And to think it all started by getting an Engineering and Drafting Technology Diploma from NAIT. Who knew!!
