A lovely day
A beautiful day in Montreal, blue skies and warm sun. I started the day by going for breakfast with Gabriel. I had blueberry pancakes! Yum! Then I had a history class on Latin America where I learned about the Mayan Empire. On my way back from work I biked passed a church under construction and heard the worst church bells in my life. Instead of a call to worship, it sounded like a call to doom! Two minor notes rang out upon unsuspecting people... ha! A good friend that I haven't spoken to in about 2 years just called! Francisco from Mexico. We met at the YMCA while I was lifeguarding and we used to work out together and do fun activities. He actually taught me how to play chess! Thanks! It's great to reconnect with old friends. Cheers to that.

You'll have to go and check out the new Mel Gibson film coming out about the Mayans, looks very well done. I think it's even going to be in an one of the local dialects instead of Spanish or English. I think it's called "Apocolypto"
AND when you come to visit us we can take a trip up to Tikal to see the incredible Mayan ruins there.
